Schmoochie needs your expertise!
I would like to be able to reply in email to commenters on my Blog. Some Blogs I comment on do this and I like it. How do I set it up so that I can respond to comments in email? I just can't figure out how to do it. :(
Thanks!
ps.. It's still stupidly hot here. I sold out ALL my fans at work last night. People would walk in, look at me and ask "do you.." and I would shake my head and reply "No, we don't sell A/C units and I'm sold out of fans. So is every retailer in a 40km radius. But would you like to buy a computer or some school supplies?" :)
At least it's air conditioned at work so there is an upside to being employed this week. It's been busy with people in and out but no one is buying..they just wander around in the cold air to cool off and then head out on their merry way. I should start charging a cover fee to get in.
Happy Wednesday all!

as for the email thing make you that you are getting your comment sent to your email address. there is a setting that you can choose to do this under the 'comments' tab for the dashboard on your blog. I think its in the layout tab.
ReplyDeleteyou also want to make sure that your email is published on your profile page, then others can respond to you when you send them a comment.
I hope that this helps. If you have more questions, you can email me. Just respond to this comment.
I checked it out and you will find everything under the settings tab and then under the comment tab.
ReplyDeleteI do what Jen said. I have the comments emailed to me and then if the person commenting has their email in their profile you can responde to them, but if they don't then you are out of luck.

ReplyDeleteAs said above, if they have emails attached to their profile/sign-in then you can email responses. If not...cry. That's what I do.
Thanks for the replies!!
ReplyDeleteLike the girls said up there...I get my comments emailed to me. Some folks though, don't have their email attached to the comments so you can't reply to them. (it will say non-comment reply)Some of my favorite commenters didn't have theirs attached so i asked them to change this so I could reply to them. I am like that. ;)
ReplyDeleteBTW: your email IS attached to your comments.
Take care, SUZ
